La Poste launches a collection of NFTs on Binance, in partnership with Yann Arthus Bertrand

It’s the turn of a French behemoth to take an interest in non-fungible tokens (NFTs). La Poste has just launched a series of NFTs on Binance. It is taken from the virtual exhibition “Visages de France par les facteurs” (Faces of France by postmen), proposed in collaboration with Yann Arthus Bertrand.

The NFTs offered by La Poste, which are part of a larger collection, present portraits of people encountered by postmen and women in France during their rounds. A total of 4,000 shots were taken, and they can be seen in a virtual exhibition that was created with Yann Arthus Bertrand.

Among the collection of pictures, 10 have been transformed into non-fungible tokens. On the Binance website, they are priced at around 0.4 BNB, or about 80 euros at the current rate.

Post Office collaborates with Binance

One notable aspect is, of course, the collaboration with Binance, another behemoth that operates in the cryptocurrency space. As a reminder, the Binance NFT marketplace has been around for a year now, and it had already signed prestigious partnerships, for example with the Hermitage Museum.

For his part, Changpeng Zhao welcomed the collaboration in French:

The CEO of Binance sees this as a sign of adoption, pointing out that La Poste existed long before the internet, and that the brand is now on the blockchain.

If nothing else, it shows that NFTs are continuing to attract interest in an ever-widening field, despite the general fall in cryptocurrency prices.
