Bitcoin continues to surpass previous records

Those who thought that Bitcoin would come to a standstill after the $70,000 mark have just been proven wrong. The world’s largest cryptocurrency surpassed its all-time high again this morning, trading above $73,700. Bitcoin’s price has risen by almost 8% over the last 2 days:

Over the past month, Bitcoin has exploded by 50%. Over the last 12 months, the increase is particularly impressive: +232%. This morning, BTC represents 49.59% of total cryptocurrency capitalization.

The ecosystem is in turmoil

It has to be said that the ecosystem has been in turmoil in recent weeks, ever since BTC surpassed the highly symbolic $69,000 mark – its previous record. Bitcoin ETFs are recording record after record: yesterday, they saw their biggest ever inflow, with one billion dollars on the day.

Furthermore, the approach of halving only fuels enthusiasm. Historically, it is followed by a price rise. This time, the considerable rise took place beforehand, so investors are hoping to see BTC reach new heights.

What’s more, BTC’s breakthrough is taking the whole ecosystem with it. The Ethereum ETH price broke through the $4,000 mark again last night, and seems to be holding steady above that threshold. More broadly, the total capitalization of cryptocurrencies is now approaching $3,000 billion. The lights are definitely on in the ecosystem
