Donald Trump offers a collection of NFTs based on his prison photo (mugshot)

Donald Trump is offering a new collection of NFTs based on a photograph taken in prison (mugshot), when he was indicted. Holders can get dinner with the former US president… As well as a piece of the suit he wore that day.

New NFTs proposed by Donald Trump

This year, the former President of the United States offered several collections of non-fungible tokens (NFT) bearing his effigy. On these digital trading cards, reminiscent of baseball cards, he presents himself as a classic American hero. And a year before the next presidential elections, the man is proposing a new collection that is, to say the least, original: it’s based on a photograph taken in prison, when he was indicted. Available in mugs, t-shirts and other souvenirs, the photo has become a cult among Donald Trump fans.

To obtain it, they will have to buy a new collection of digital cards. Those who buy 47 of them will have access to a dinner with the former president. They will also receive a physical version of the photo, as well as a piece of the suit worn by the former president that day. According to the collection’s website, this is a historic object: “

“In the photo, Trump has furrowed brows and a determined look that says he’ll never surrender. “

The former president had to surrender, however, and pay $200,000 to be released on bail. He is accused of attempting to manipulate the results of the last presidential elections.

Donald Trump and cryptocurrencies

During his time in office, Donald Trump had shown a certain hostility when it came to cryptocurrencies – or at least Bitcoin (BTC). But since leaving the Oval Office, he seems to have put his money on the blockchain sector, and in a lucrative way. Last August, we learned that the ex-president held $2.8 million in an Ethereum wallet.

It has to be said that his trading cards can earn him a lot of money. The collection based on his imprisonment photo (mugshot) is sold for 99 dollars a piece, or around 4,600 dollars per set of 47 NFTs.

The former president is currently still on trial, even as he seeks a new presidential term. A judge has already rejected his request for immunity, but he has appealed, and the court is due to rule on his fate shortly.
