Marie Claire is committed to the NFT

To celebrate its 85th anniversary, the French monthly women’s magazine Marie Claire has seen things through and taken its first step into Web3 by adopting non-fungible tokens (NFT).

Marie Claire is offering 85 exceptional lots in the form of NFTs available for auction in order to thank its 1.3 million readers while allowing them to actively support several associations with strong values.

20 of these NFTs with unique features have already been auctioned on a platform specially created for the occasion, which provides an overview of the different experiences offered in the form of an interactive digital gallery.

These NFTs, available either at a fixed price or at auction from 100 euros, promise to offer unforgettable experiences, including:

  • An invitation to the next Marine Serre show at Paris Fashion Week;
  • A private tour of Dior’s Château de la Colle Noir with a harvest of the estate’s iconic rose;
  • An exceptional dinner with renowned Monegasque chef and multi-starred Alain Ducasse;
  • A private tour of Mathias Kiss’ workshop with him;
  • A one-on-one meeting with Danish supermodel Helena Christensen;
  • A stay in the sumptuous Convent of Pozzo overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea;
  • And many more.

As for the distribution of the NFTs, the lucky buyers of these lots will receive a certificate from the Change Maker platform representing a limited edition digital artwork. In addition, they will receive an email with all the necessary instructions to create a wallet in order to retrieve their NFT.

A commitment to a better world

These auctions will allow Marie Claire readers to enjoy an unforgettable experience while actively supporting causes with strong values. Indeed, all the funds raised through this unique offer will be donated to the following 3 associations:

  • The Women’s Foundation, which works for women’s rights and violence against women;
  • Viens Voir Mon Taf, an association that helps reintegrate school dropouts;
  • No More Plastic Foundation, an NGO working for a world free of plastic pollution.

Katell Pouliquen, Marie Claire’s editorial director, emphasised the value of this first step into Web3 for the iconic women’s magazine:

It is a great pride for Marie Claire to be the first magazine in the world to sell NFTs exclusively for charity and to put the most advanced technology at the service of causes that are dear to us: women’s rights, education and ecology. I would like to thank all the partners and brands who are supporting us in this innovative project.
