Today, blockchain technology is in the spotlight and its future depends on wider adoption. This is why École Polytechnique Executive Education has decided to create the first certification course totally dedicated to this universe.
Aimed at IT, finance and innovation professionals who wish to learn about the blockchain ecosystem, this unique course, called the “Blockchain Starter Program”, enables students to develop their skills in the blockchain ecosystem and its major technological, economic and legal issues.
Requiring only an interest and predisposition for technical activities, the Blockchain Starter Program covers all the information necessary for the learner to be able, in the long run, to carry out an innovative project after having built up a solid knowledge of blockchain and its many use cases.
This training course takes place over 20 hours, entirely in French and remotely. As such, the learner will benefit throughout the course from the eLearnX learning environment, a platform that lists the various training modules and also allows for the development of collaborative work with peers.
The Blockchain Starter Program
The objective of this training is clear: to discover the blockchain environment in its entirety in order to be able to assert oneself as a credible partner in this technology.
The quality of the training is ensured by Daniel Augot, Professor at the École Polytechnique and co-chairman of the “Blockchain and B2B Platform” Chair and INRIA Research Director, and Julien Prat, Professor at the École Polytechnique and co-chairman of the “Blockchain and B2B Platform” Chair, and Research Director at the CNRS.
To accompany the learner in the best possible way, multiple speakers specialised in blockchain technology will put the challenges of blockchain into perspective.
This programme explores blockchain from all angles, from its genesis to its contemporary issues, including fundamentals such as proof of work (PoW), proof of stake (PoS), Bitcoin (BTC), Web 3.0, non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and decentralised finance (DeFi).
The learner will benefit from a 100% online training with synchronous and asynchronous modules. Each theme is built around a SPOC (Small Private Open Courses) accompanied by quizzes and asynchronous exercises. Each participant in the training course can thus progress at his or her own pace, but must have completed the topic before the synchronous virtual class organised with the instructor: an essential time to anchor the concepts discovered and worked on asynchronously.
In addition, in order for the participant to be able to carry out a project involving blockchain, lessons are also provided on its various concrete use cases in order to better understand to what extent and in what ways this technology can act as a lever for transformation and innovation.
At the end of the course, each student will have to validate his or her knowledge by defending a case study before a jury. Upon successful completion of the exam, they will receive a certification from École Polytechnique Executive Education, registered in the Répertoire National des Certifications Professionnelles (RNCP).
Indeed, the latter allows the validation of the block of competences n°3 “Specialised communication for the transfer of competences” of the RNCP34126 Master’s degree in computer science

Cost of training: €3,750 excluding VAT or €4,500 including VAT.

The cost of the Blockchain Starter Program is €4,500 including tax, but there are many financing solutions, depending on the professional status of the learner. Note that some of them can be combined.
