OpenSea introduces Studio, a new way to create NFTs – What’s new?

by Thomas

To facilitate the creation and management of NFT collections, the OpenSea marketplace has unveiled a new tool: OpenSea Studio. Let’s take a look at this new feature, which should enhance the platform’s user experience.

OpenSea Studio: new NFT creation functionalities

To achieve a real democratization of non-fungible tokens (NFT) in the artistic field, a lot of work needs to be undertaken in terms of user experience. One aspect of this pillar concerns the creation of said NFTs, and this is what OpenSea has focused its latest release on: OpenSea Studio.

Indeed, this new menu is intended to be simpler to use than what has been presented to date, making it easier to deploy a collection from a single location, as shown in the demo video below:

Thus, most of the blockchains supported by OpenSea are accessible on OpenSea Studio, with only Solana and the NBB Smart Chain seemingly missing.

The tool aims to be usable without technical skills, and in addition to the ability to create entire collections, users can also directly create a single NFT on the wallet. In their collections, artists also have the option of allowing their community to pay for their creations by credit card.

While the market for non-fungible tokens has particularly deteriorated in recent months, at least on popular collections, it is important for marketplaces to innovate if they wish to have a card to play for the next wave of adoption.

In the month of September, OpenSea achieved less than $78 million in volume, according to data from The Block. As an example, this is almost 4.5 times less than the previous year, and more than 38 times less than September 2021.
