Justin Sun will no longer play an active role in the Tron Foundation of which he is the founder. He has recently accepted to become the Grenada government’s ambassador to the World Trade Organisation (WTO) in Geneva. The objective is obviously to represent the country’s interests, but also to highlight the blockchain and cryptocurrency ecosystem.

As ambassador, Justin Sun will have to fly to Geneva, Switzerland, to represent the country’s interests at the WTO
It is truly an honour to serve as the WTO Ambassador for Grenada. I look forward to the opportunity to represent the country and to work with WTO leaders to revitalize global trade in a variety of ways, particularly the development of a robust digital economy internationally,” said Justin Sun.

No information has been released about the appointment from Grenada’s permanent representation in Geneva.
In light of this appointment, Justin Sun will also be able to represent the blockchain and cryptocurrency ecosystem.
This opportunity will extend to the WTO, but also to Latin American countries and Grenada.
The cryptocurrency industry has reached the stage where we need states, regulators and international organisations to recognise the potential and benefits of blockchain technology. So I’m going to focus my energy on trying to push blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies in that direction. I will also try to promote the development of new technologies in Grenada,” Justin Sun added.
In this context, Justin Sun will therefore leave his position as CEO of the Tron Foundation and the mission will fall to the community to elect 27 representatives to continue the management of the Tron blockchain.
However, Justin Sun has made it clear that he will continue to engage with the community and push the Tron blockchain forward
