BitBoy Crypto: influencer Ben Armstrong gets arrested live on YouTube

by Tim

Yesterday evening, influencer Ben Armstrong, known for being the face of YouTube channel BitBoy Crypto until recently, was arrested in the middle of a live show. What happened?

Ben Armstrong, former BitBoy Crypto, gets arrested live on YouTube

Barely a month ago, influencer Ben Armstrong, previously known as BitBoy Crypto, was kicked off his own YouTube channel. His numerous antics and run-ins with the law prompted BJ Investment Holdings, which owns the Hit Network company behind the channel’s production, to take this step.

Last night, he once again made his presence felt, being arrested by the police while live-streaming on YouTube. Earlier in the evening, he had announced that the live broadcast would take place from “a very special place” :

In fact, Ben Armstrong turned up outside the home of Carlos Diaz, a former partner whom he accuses of stealing his Lamborghini, as he announces by shouting at the start of the video:

“This is where Carlos lives guys, I’m broadcasting live from Carlos’ house. Carlos has my Lamborghini right here in his garage, so today guys, I’m going to broadcast live and I’m going to tell the whole story of Carlos Diaz. “

For his part, Carlos Diaz accused him of lying, posting in the process a video taken, it seems, from a surveillance camera:

Around 18 minutes into the live video, a police patrol approaches Ben Armstrong, asking him, among other things, if he has a gun with him, to which he replies that he has one in the back of his vehicle. As shown in the excerpt below, the interested party also explains to the questioning officer that he is live “with 2,500 people on YouTube” :

In the wake of these events, data on the website of the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia shows that the influencer has been taken into custody. In addition, his bail has been set at $2,600, and we can see that the grounds for this arrest are “vagrancy” as well as “simple assault by intimidating someone” :

Since then, he seems to have been released, as evidenced by one of his recent tweets in which he indicates that he spent 8 hours behind bars:
