On Thursday, addresses linked to the TRUMP memecoin received 4.2 million MET as part of the Meteora airdrop. This places them among the biggest beneficiaries, even as Meteora’s co-founder faces a class action lawsuit over pump-and-dump allegations.

TRUMP memecoin teams receive $4.2 million in MET from Meteora

Last week, the Meteora protocol unveiled its airdrop, and the MET token was deployed on the market on Thursday.

At the time of writing, the price of MET stands at $0.57, giving the asset a market capitalization of $278.68 million.

On the sidelines of this airdrop, we learned yesterday that Benjamin Chow, the co-founder of Meteora, is the subject of a class action lawsuit for 15 pump-and-dump cases, notably alongside Hayden Davis for the MELANIA and LIBRA memecoins.

While justice must take its course in these cases, it is interesting to note that the team behind the TRUMP memecoin is among the biggest beneficiaries of this airdrop, according to Arkham analysts:

Top 5 beneficiaries of the Meteora airdrop: Trump. Three of the addresses involved in the TRUMP team have just received a $4.2 million airdrop of $MET. The developer’s address and two addresses that provided significant liquidity to TRUMP on day one. The three addresses have just deposited the entire airdrop on OKX.

On Arkham, we can indeed see the interaction of the entity “Official Trump Meme” with MET, which is now no longer part of its reserves:

At this stage, however, it is difficult to draw any conclusions as to how this allocation was obtained.

In any case, we regularly report on the Trump clan’s profits in the crypto industry. In 2025, the US president’s family is said to have generated $1 billion in profits, according to a report in the Financial Times.

For its part, the price of the TRUMP memecoin stands at $5.9 at the time of writing, up 1.84% over the last 24 hours.
