LUNA token trading halted on Crypto.com due to pricing error

by Tim

Some users of the cryptocurrency exchange platform Crypto.com were unpleasantly surprised to learn that they were faced with incorrect pricing on LUNA yesterday afternoon. This has, for some, exacerbated their losses, and they have been quick to accuse the platform of stealing their funds. In return, Crypto.com paid them $10 in CRO tokens.

LUNA price error on Crypto.com

Faced with the cataclysm that the UST and LUNA of the Terra ecosystem are currently experiencing for a few days, the exchanges are not spared either.

Indeed, yesterday afternoon, during the 12:40 to 13:39 slot, Crypto.com users were faced with incorrect prices on the LUNA token. As a result, in the vast majority of cases, this caused them to lose even more money, adding to the losses caused by LUNA.

However, the error was detected by the exchange’s system, and trading of the token was paused until further notice. It should be noted that today, Changpeng Zhao, the CEO of Binance, announced that the UST/BUSD and LUNA/BUSD trading pairs had been disabled to protect users.

All users affected by the Crypto.com price difference in this time slot have been notified by email of the error and will be compensated with $10 in CRO tokens.

This compensation is intended to calm down the users concerned, who did not fail to post their discontent on Twitter:

Due to the current state of the market, MIR, ANC and LUNA tokens can temporarily no longer be deposited or withdrawn on the platform. In addition, the platform’s Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA) trading bots have been disabled for LUNA.
