The transaction was spotted by analytics firm Lookonchain, which detailed what happened on X. A user reportedly fell for a seemingly legitimate message and followed a fraudulent link.
They then confirmed a transfer of 3 million USDT, almost all of the funds in their wallet:

To protect yourself from phishing, always check the address to which you are sending funds. Never follow a link that does not appear to be completely secure. Service providers (wallets, exchanges) will never ask you for your recovery information. This is a lesson that this investor has learned the hard way.
