Chateau Pape Clément, a flagship of French wine heritage, is entering the Web3 universe with an exclusive pass in the form of a non-fungible token (NFT). The pass will offer multiple rewards, both physical and virtual, including a limited edition of its 2016 vintage.
Chateau Pape Clement enters the Web3 with NFTs
To celebrate the 770th harvest of Château Pape Clément, the iconic wine estate located in Gironde, south of Bordeaux, Maison Bernard Magrez wanted to mark the occasion by entering the Web3 universe.
Wine lovers will now be able to buy a membership card in the form of a non-fungible token (NFT) in order to benefit from various advantages relating to this Grand Cru Classé de Graves.
These NFTs, of which there are 1,252 available, will go on sale on 10 November 2022 at a price of €310 and will be available on the wallet of Arianee, the French company specialising in Web3 and NFTs. However, it is possible to register today for the preview sale which will take place on 8 November.
According to Bernard Magrez, the owner of the estate, Château Pape Clément is following the trend of the almost 800 years that preceded it, namely the combination of tradition and innovation:

The benefits of the NFT will be multiple, and will allow to benefit from both physical and virtual advantages:
- The holders of this NFT will receive an exceptional vintage as a first reward: a limited edition bottle of Château Pape Clément vintage 2016;
Finally, holding one of these NFTs also allows you to receive an unpublished and numbered digital work of art by international artist Pierre Blaise Dionnet, designed especially for this occasion.
