The new Ledger Nano S Plus is now available and will support non-fungible tokens (NFT). This hardware wallet is an improved version of the Nano S, which was so successful that it propelled the French leader onto the international stage.

The new Ledger Nano S Plus is available

We no longer present Ledger, founded by Eric Larchevêque and Thomas France, this French company has been marketing hardwares wallets since 2014. After the famous Nano S, which has sold more than 3 million copies across the globe, here is the Nano S Plus, which is, among other things, optimized for NFT.

Intended to replace the brand’s flagship hardware wallet, the new model is described in these terms by Pascal Gauthier, the company’s CEO
The Ledger Nano S Plus is a Nano S on steroids. It gives you more space to freely enjoy the ever-expanding world of DeFi and NFT. We continue to improve our cutting-edge hardware devices to allow you to safely explore the Web 3.0 ecosystem. “

In the words of Ian Rogers, Ledger’s Director of Experience, we finally have a Nano X, minus the Bluetooth connection.

The new NFT in the Ledger Nano S Plus

The first highlight of this new hardware wallet is its storage capacity. This model uses the same memory as the Nano X, namely the ability to store more than 100 applications and support more than 5500 different assets.

Its design and screen have also been redesigned compared to the original Nano S, offering a better user experience.

Another new feature from Ledger is the non-fungible tokens (NFT). While these have always been storable and transferable to all of Ledger’s hardwares, the Nano S Plus will allow them to be viewed in the Ledger Live application.

Moreover, it is a tool that developers might appreciate. If until now they had to use an emulator to simulate a hardware wallet and test their applications, this will no longer be necessary, as it can be done directly on the Nano S Plus.

With a purchase price barely higher than its predecessor for increased functionality, the latest creation of the French unicorn should have no trouble finding its audience. With the security of crypto-assets being a major Web 3.0 issue, Ledger is once again showing that it intends to play a leading role in this dimension.
