eToro now pays interest on your uninvested funds at up to 4.3% per year

by Michael

Users of the eToro platform can now earn interest on their uninvested funds with an annualized return of up to 4.3%. This new feature is easy to activate and allows you to earn money on your capital while you wait to invest it in the financial markets.

An opportunity to optimize your liquidity

Since July 2025, European eToro customers can activate the “Interest on Balance” option to earn interest on their available cash in US dollars. Two tiers are available:

  • 3.5% annual interest for a total balance between $1 and $50,000
  • 4.3% annual interest for a total balance over $50,000

The tiers depend on your total account balance, i.e., all of your funds on eToro (invested and uninvested). However, only uninvested funds earn interest, which is calculated daily and paid monthly.

Please note: on eToro, all transactions are denominated in US dollars. So even if you deposit euros, your funds are converted into dollars and become eligible for this reward as soon as they are not invested.

Here is an example to help you understand: A balance of $50,000 earns 4.3% per year, or approximately $5.89 in interest per day, or $176.85 over a 30-day month, assuming the balance remains constant. Over a year, this represents approximately $2,150 in interest.

How do you activate balance interest on eToro?

To take advantage of this new feature, simply follow these three easy steps:

    • Log in to eToro or create your account now (affiliate link)
    • Go to the eToro Club dashboard
    • Activate the “Interest on balance” option
    • Interest starts accruing as soon as you activate the option!

What makes eToro’s offer attractive is that it comes with no strings attached. Your funds remain available at all times and can be withdrawn and/or invested whenever you want.

Finally, as a regulated investment platform, eToro guarantees fund protection in accordance with European standards. Depending on your place of residence, your funds may be covered by the Investor Compensation Fund (up to €20,000) or the Deposit Guarantee Scheme (up to €100,000).
