The M6 group launches an in-house NFT game to promote Web3 culture

by Patricia

The M6 group is launching its first in-house Web3 initiative with the Bary agency. It is revealing a game of seven families in the form of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). What will it look like?

M6 gets into non-fungible tokens (NFTs)

The game, inspired by Panini cards and the well-known game of seven families, is called “Groupe M6 Family”. It features presenter ‘families’ (entertainment, news, society, etc.) to collect. The cards are offered in the form of NFTs, on an Ethereum (ETH) testnet. The visuals are inspired by ‘physical’ trading cards:

Initially, the game is offered internally, for M6 employees. It starts today, and will be accompanied by a conference to educate those interested in the challenges and benefits of Web3. Physical and digital quests will also accompany the launch. The game will run for a month, with the aim of collecting as many digital cards as possible.

The Bary agency at the helm of the project
The Franco-Israeli agency Bary has been called in for the project. It is the agency that is assisting Formula 1 with the transition of its ticketing system to one that makes use of NFTs. The development will make it possible to test an initial Web3 initiative for M6, before possibly extending it to a wider audience.

According to Valéry Gerfaud, Managing Director of Digital, Innovation and Technologies at Groupe M6, this first step will enable staff to be trained, so that everyone is familiar with these relatively new technologies:

“.
Thanks to “Groupe M6 Family”, we’re offering Groupe M6 employees a fun, hands-on introduction to the world of Web3. With this fun and educational game, which we developed with our partner Bary, the group is familiarising itself with NFT and blockchain technologies and experimenting with new marketing mechanisms. “

The M6 group will then be able to continue exploring Web3-related technologies in order to find new ways of engaging with its audience.
