Determined to make France a leader in the ecosystem of non-fungible tokens (NFTs), a collective of 51 Web 3.0 pioneers has just announced the upcoming opening of the NFT Factory in Paris.
A temple of NFTs in the heart of Paris
Between 2020 and 2021, the market for NFTs has grown dramatically. In just one year, sales of non-fungible tokens have increased by 4,120%, from 85 million to 35 billion euros.
In order for France to take part in this revolution, a collective of 51 Web 3.0 pioneers has just announced the opening in September in Paris of a 400 square metre physical space dedicated to NFTs. Its name? The NFT Factory.
The NFT Factory has been conceived as the French temple of NFTs. The press release announcing its launch specifies its three main missions:
- To evangelise the French public on the issue of NFTs;
- Bringing together the NFT community around events for startups, companies, artists and the general public;
- Favour the emergence of first-rate NFT projects, which will constitute the French unicorns of tomorrow.
Leading supporters behind the NFT Factory
To achieve its goals, the NFT Factory will be able to count on the support of its 51 co-founders, who are all pioneers in the ecosystem.
Among the more famous supporters are Sébastien Borget (COO and co-founder of The Sandbox), Jean-Michel Pailhon and Gaspard Broustine (co-founders of Ledger), Benoît Couty (creator of the Museum of Crypto Art, better known as MoCA), electronic music producer Agoria, and Julien Bouteloup, a veteran of blockchain and a major influencer in the NFTs ecosystem.

Benoît Couty, founder of MoCa, one of the two most important museums dedicated to NFTs, spoke about the importance of the NFT Factory for the development of the French ecosystem:
While we are all passionate about NFTs, we need a space in the real world to connect, educate each other and start working together on new projects. We are still in the early stages of a nascent economy and it’s time to take it to the next level. “
Milestones between now and the September opening
While the NFT Factory has just officially launched, you’ll have to wait until September 2022 before you can visit its Parisian space. In the meantime, it will be organising two events that should interest NFT fans.
In May, the NFT Factory will inaugurate its membership programme by launching a collection of 1,000 unique NFTs. Designed by the Obvious artist collective, these non-fungible tokens will entitle members to a number of benefits (priority access to all NFT Factory events, rewards, etc.).
Two months later, in July, enthusiasts will be able to attend a two-day event called NFT Pop-Up Factory. The programme will include conferences with leaders of the ecosystem, an exhibition of NFTs and paid training. If you’re interested, stay tuned, as registration will start very soon
What will the NFT Factory look like
In September, the NFT Factory will officially open its physical space in the heart of Paris. It will feature a counter to buy and trade non-fungible tokens, as well as a gallery hosting regular exhibitions.
