Predictive market platforms such as Polymarket and Kalshi have experienced unprecedented growth over the past year. This success has now led to the integration of their data into Google Finance.

Adoption in the cryptocurrency sector depends on certain key factors, such as easier access and greater visibility outside its ecosystem. This trend could be significantly accelerated by the entry of traditional finance into the mix.

And it goes without saying that the rapidly growing predictive markets sector is taking full advantage of this situation, following a historic $2 billion funding round raised by Polymarket a few weeks ago from the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), Intercontinental Exchange.

This made its founder the youngest billionaire on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Such successes inevitably lead to more, to the point of attracting the attention of Google Finance—the global market data management platform—to this tool designed for investing in the outcomes of future events.

We’re adding support for data from Kalshi and Polymarket’s prediction markets, so you can ask questions about future market events and tap into the wisdom of the crowd.

In practice, this integration will allow users to access data from the Kalshi and Polymarket platforms directly within Google search results, just as is currently the case for the stock market or certain popular cryptocurrencies.

There is one small difference, however, since in this case it involves asking a question such as (this is one of the examples provided by Google, in English): “What will the Fed’s decision on interest rates be in December?” directly from the search bar, “to see current market probabilities and how they have changed over time.”

Google Finance: ‘What will the Fed’s decision on interest rates be in December?’

This integration of prediction markets as an expression of public sentiment provides a real-time assessment of trends in the financial markets that can prove very interesting, but with the obvious risk of becoming a kind of poll with only relative reliability.

According to analysts at Bernstein, this does not prevent platforms like Kalshi or Polymarket from now establishing themselves as tools fully integrated into traditional finance, because “by letting the markets determine the probabilities of key events, more investors can incorporate these signals into their portfolios.”

The service is expected to go live in the coming weeks. This development is part of a broader overhaul of Google Finance, featuring deeper integration of Gemini AI and its Deep Search tool, which is capable of generating more in-depth and well-sourced financial answers.
