After his forced resignation from Binance last November, Changpeng Zhao (CZ) kept a low profile on social networks, posting only on rare occasions. However, he doesn’t seem to have been idle during these few months, as he announced last night a new entrepreneurial project called Giggle Academy :

As introduced by Changpeng Zhao, Giggle Academy aims to be a free, game-based education platform accessible to anyone with an Internet connection:
Building a high-quality educational platform, completely free and accessible to everyone, is the most significant thing I can do for the next chapter of my life.
Without replacing school, the project aims to fill the educational gaps in certain disadvantaged geographical areas. The Concept Paper states that the aim is not to take a “13-year-old child to a university in a developed country”, but rather to enable him “to get a better job, which he would not otherwise have obtained”.
Requiring Internet access, this can obviously be a sticking point for adoption of the platform, and partnerships are being explored to get around the problem:
Most rural villages have at least an Internet connection. We need to figure out how to take advantage of that.”
For the time being, Giggle Academy does not present a business model and claims to be a revenue-free platform. However, 3 job offers have been posted, relating to content creation and game development.
While the project is still in its infancy, there’s no doubt that CZ will be sharing its progress over the months to follow the platform’s development.
