cube3, an incubator and accelerator dedicated to Web3 start-ups, officially opens its doors in Angers today. This initiative, in partnership with TCN and WeForge, aims to become the largest in Europe in its field, in order to raise France’s profile in the blockchain and cryptocurrency ecosystem.

cube3 the largest Web3 incubator and accelerator is coming to Angers

As the Web3 ecosystem grows, the need for solid support structures is emerging to best assist the development of the various projects. In response to this need, cube3, an incubator and accelerator dedicated exclusively to Web3 start-ups, is now taking shape:

Last October, French Economy Minister Bruno Le Maire announced that he wanted to make France “the base camp for Web3 in Europe”. At a time when our country is becoming increasingly recognised in the blockchain ecosystem, this is a clear mission for cube3, which will be helping to bring out the Sorares and Ledgers of tomorrow.

To achieve this, the company has an 800 m² facility at its disposal, capable of bringing together around a hundred entrepreneurs right in the heart of Angers. Just 1 hour 30 minutes from Paris, Angers has been described as the 1ʳᵉ most livable city in France by our colleagues in L’Express and Le JDD.

Valentin Demé, CEO of cube3, spoke about this new project:

“cube3 represents a unique opportunity for Web3 start-ups in Europe. By bringing together talented entrepreneurs, renowned mentors and industry experts, TCN, the leading French-language Web3 media company, and Weforge, the base camp for start-ups in the West, we are creating an ecosystem that fosters the success and development of innovative Web3 projects at a key moment in the industry’s history. With the clear ambition of supporting the creation of future giants “

Call for applications from today

To coincide with this announcement, Web3 project leaders can now apply for support and funding.

Successful participants will have the chance to benefit from the invaluable experience of mentors and advisers renowned in our ecosystem. These include:

  • Owen Simonin (Hasheur), CEO of Meria;
    Ivan de Lastours, blockchain lead at Bpifrance.

Start-ups joining cube3 will of course have access to the resources provided by the incubator. These include modern workspaces, strategic partnerships, discounts with various partners specific to their business, as well as coaching programmes with over 200 hours of content on managing start-ups and the Web3 domains.

First selections announced on 1 July

The first projects to be selected will be announced at the UPI Conference on 1 July at the Angers Convention Centre, of which TCN and cube3 are partners.

The 1,200-seat venue will host a number of conferences and debates on the economy, real estate and entrepreneurship. In terms of the crypto ecosystem, the event will welcome Eric Larchevêque, co-founder of Ledger and Coinhouse, as well as Owen Simonin.

Thanks to the expertise of its mentors and advisors, the know-how of WeForge, which has helped 500 companies raise €50 million, and TCN’s experience in the industry, cube3 now has all the cards in its hand to help France shine in the Web3 ecosystem.
