Adidas enters the metaverse with Bored Ape Yacht Club and other partners

The clothing brand Adidas is entering the metaverse in collaboration with Bored Ape Yacht Club, Gmoney NFT and PUNKS Comic. The objective is to create a game in this new ecosystem by creating avatars inspired by Bored Ape NFTs. In this context, would the German firm be developing its brand in the virtual world

Adidas launches into the metaverse

On its Twitter account, Adidas revealed that it is taking the plunge into the metaverse in partnership with Bored Ape Yacht Club, Gmoney NFT and PUNKS Comic.

The aim of these collaborations is to create a game centred on the metaverse. Moreover, Adidas has announced that it has purchased a non-fungible token (NFT) from Bored Ape for this project.

The latter is Bored Ape Yacht Club 8774 dressed in Adidas-themed clothing with the logos of the future partners. The idea is to turn this NFT into a metaverse character named Indigo Herz.

The announcement of this project is followed by a video clip that depicts all of the staff as 3D avatars falling into the Adidas universe

“It’s time to enter a world of unlimited possibilities,” said Adidas staff members.
