The decentralized platform Hyperliquid has established itself as a key player in the crypto ecosystem. However, this position has recently been undermined by fierce competition. This has provided an opportunity to launch its Hypurr NFT collection for its early adopters.
Hyperliquid distributes 4,600 Hypurr NFTs
The dynamics of the cryptocurrency sector are based on a few immutable rules, such as not allowing a project or protocol to become too dominant as a leader. This is why the dominance of the Hyperliquid DEX has recently been shaken by the launch of its competitor Aster on the BNB Chain. After recently launching its native stablecoin, USDH, it clearly wants to take the time to reward its early users.
In fact, an NFT collection called Hypurr was officially launched this Sunday. It has a total of 4,600 copies, with a floor price currently around 1,600 HYPE on the Opensea platform, or just over $75,000.

The goal of the Hypurr NFT collection is to share a memento with those who believed in Hyperliquid and contributed to its growth from the beginning. Each NFT is unique and reflects the different mindsets, hobbies, tastes, and quirks of the Hyperliquid community.
$56 million in volume over the last 24 hours
In fact, the distribution of this NFT collection is only available to Hyperliquid users who “had the opportunity to register to receive a Hypurr NFT after the launch of HyperEVM, as part of the Genesis event in November 2024.”
In total, exactly 4,313 Hypurr NFTs were distributed to the lucky winners of this event, scheduled for Sunday. The remaining 144 copies will go to the Hyper Foundation and 143 will go to the wallets of the developers and artists involved.
According to data available on the Opensea platform, this NFT collection has recorded a trading volume of 1.2 million HYPE over the last 24 hours, or just over $56 million. There are currently 3,985 holders, which represents 86% of the number of NFTs issued.

With this record activity, the Hypurr NFT collection ranks at the top of the most popular collections on the Opensea platform, ahead of industry legends such as Moonbirds, CryptoPunks, Pudgy Penguins, and Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC).
However, one question remains regarding the actual usefulness of these NFTs. Indeed, the Hyper Foundation explains that “Hypurr NFTs may, from time to time, be associated with certain benefits, features, or rights (‘Utility’), but no Utility is promised or guaranteed.”
