Four men allegedly beat the influencer and forced him into
a stolen Renault Clio. The perpetrators reportedly demanded
a ransom of €50,000 in cryptocurrency for his release.
However, it appears that the man did not have the requested amount.
After checking his bank account, the perpetrators realized
that it contained only a small amount of money. The victim was therefore
released.
☺h2☻Kidnappings have been on the rise in recent months
The victim was held captive for a total of one hour before being
quickly released due to lack of funds. The modus operandi appears to differ from
other recent crypto kidnappings targeting
wealthy individuals or their families. The attackers are actively
being sought by law enforcement.

Unfortunately, this is only the latest in a long series of kidnappings
of crypto investors in recent times. The cases
led to the arrest of around 20 people, including
several minors, mostly in the Paris region. The
alleged mastermind, who lives in Morocco, was arrested in early June
.
Numerous calls have been made for greater protection for
wealthy crypto investors, who have been particularly affected in recent
months. In response, Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau has announced
measures. In addition, MP Paul Midy tabled a bill a few
days ago to protect entrepreneurs.
