The FTX user claims portal went live on Tuesday 11 July 2023. Users can now claim back their blocked funds. The portal will be operational until 29 September 2023.
FTX claims portal is open
If you had funds frozen on the FTX exchange at the time of its bankruptcy, you may be able to get your money back. Claims have just opened on 11 July 2023, so you will be able to consult your FTX account balance as at 11 November 2022, as well as your trading history and your profits, losses, gains from staking or the Earn programme.
Here’s how it works:
- Log on to this site using the login details you used on FTX ;
- Check your email address ;
- Check your identity (KYC) ;
- Check your account balance ;
- Confirm, or not, whether the amount corresponds to what you had in your FTX account at the time of the bankruptcy.
You will then be redirected to the Kroll Restructuring Administration platform to confirm that your balance matches the amount you had in your FTX account on November 11, 2022. If this is not the case, you can file a claim.
Please note that not all users need to file a proof of claim

Nearly 10 billion dollars in debt
$10 billion is the estimated amount the platform owes to nearly 9 million users. For the 50 biggest users of the platform, this figure reaches 3 billion dollars.
Will all the creditors be able to get their money back? For the moment, it’s hard to say. However, through business sales, cryptocurrencies, contract interruptions and various claims, Forbes estimates that nearly $5 billion in funds will be recovered.
